Bridleways to connect Ringwould bridleway ER16 stub with Ringwould Road and Hangman's Lane

Approach to Ringwould Road

Public bridleway ER16 approaches a belt of woodland which forms the long-standing parish boundary, now between Ringwould, Ripple and Langdon, but formerly between Ringwould and Oxney. The path on the ground heads straight for Ringwould Road opposite the junction with Hangman's Lane, but formerly, took an alignment slightly to the south, to continue straight through the woodland to join Ringwould Road beyond, with a spur north to join Ringwould Road opposite the junction with Hangman's Lane.

This application on behalf of the British Horse Society was made to Kent County Council under section 53(5) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 on 28 July 2017 to record two bridleways to join public bridleway ER16 from Hangman's Lane in the village of Ringwould, to Ringwould Road. At present, bridleway ER16 stops short of the road, at the parish boundary.
